But . . .
At NPR's music blog ("The Record"), Amy Schrieffer offers a post entitled "A Brief History Of Music's Alter Egos." For a number of reasons, I was interested. But I wasted my time by clicking -- sorry if you just did as well.
If you're title promises a "brief history," then you kind of have to write one.
And don't give me that sorry crap about the photo essay. Those captions were written by others. Amy wanted to have done a post, she just didn't want to write one. She wasted everyone's time. And she pimped a stupid, STUPID, audio report by an airhead who NPR should never put in front of a mike. Seriously, clear your throat, blow your nose before you begin taping. We don't know all that crap as listeners. You don't even have to wear make up to be on radio so at the very least you can blow your nose and clear your throat ahead of time.
In other news, Barack wasn't the first Black president (though one day we will have one) but he certainly is the first bitchy one. In the latest effort to sound like a catty bitch (or to reveal his true self) he declared today of the Republican Party, "It's really inspiring, this vision they have of our future. Gives you a little pep in your step when you hear it."
There is nothing presidential about that bitch. And I now run from the TV when he's on the same way I did for the eight years that Bully Boy Bush occupied the White House.
Unless you're a total moron, you can hear that and should think, "Huh? Why's he attacking them? Why isn't he running on what he's done?" But then it hits you: He's done nothing.
He lied at the DNC convention when he used the phrase "universal health care." We didn't get that. We got ObamaCare: The gift to the insurance companies.
We didn't get an end of the Iraq War.
We didn't get a damn thing.
But Big Business got their bailouts, didn't they?
Closing with C.I.'s "Iraq snapshot:"
