Crawdaddy is online. The music magazine is over 45 years old. An ex-boyfriend (who I haven't seen or spoken to in over 15 years) e-mailed me via The Common Ills public account. He asked me if I would note that and that the archives from 1966 to 1968 are online.
I've noted Crawdaddy before but I'm noting it again for the above reason.
In the meantime, Spin is bi-monthly? I didn't realize that. (Or did I and forget? If I did, e-mail me, "Uh, Kat, three months ago you were writing this exact same thing.")
I just can't believe that.
We were grabbing mags to do the music and political mag surveys this weekend for Third and I saw that Spin is bi-monthly. I really cannot believe that.
I also can't believe how many bad music magazines there are out this month. That includes a brand new one (with "brand new" on the cover) that is just a waste in every way. Tired features on boring artists. No solid point of view (other than sexist) and nothing to offer.
Usually with a magazine that's new the problem is living up to the first issue because they have more time to work on the first issue and then, once it's published, it's treadmill time where you just try to keep up.
I hate to think where this magazine goes next.
To be that bad from the start is really something.
Closing with C.I.'s "Iraq snapshot:"
