Nir Rosen, what a prick
Nir Rosen is nothing but a prick. He still thinks he can explain away what he did and he thinks we're stupid to buy his lies. I agree that Anderson Cooper served him his lunch last night on CNN. But Nir's back and at Salon to 'explain' how his opinion that Lara Logan deserved to be sexually assaulted isn't the problem, it's just a joke, you understand, the real problem is these mean people who won't accept his joke. (Accept his apology? When has he offered a sincere one? Never.)
At Salon he writes: "When I first heard the news about Logan, I assumed she was roughed up like every other journalist -- which is still bad -- but I was jokingly trying to provoke one of my think tank friends on Twitter, thoughtlessly, of course, and terribly insensitively."
Really? What he Tweeted was, "Look, she was probably groped like thousands of other women, which is still wrong, but if it was worse than I'm sorry." Just groped, huh, Nir?
And the prick writes of groping at Salon today: "(This harassment was a preexisting problem that Egyptian women have been increasingly complaining about.)" Women have complained. Complained. Does he not get how insulting his language is?
He probably doesn't. He writes like the most entitled prick in the world.
He goes on and on blaming Lara Logan again. Her "destructive" reporting, her this, her that, her skin color, on and on and he just can't shut the hell up.
I'd wonder why no one suggested he do just that; however, the reality is that probably many have and he's such a prick that even when that advice comes from a friend, he can't hear it.
He needs to hear this: You have yet to apologize. Apologies do not include your attacks on Lara Logan. They do not include your excuses. Take accountability.
You know what's so funny? Nir Rosen thinks he's a man. He's the sort who would tell someone else to 'man up.' But the way he's acting right now? There's nothing mature about it, let alone manly. He's just a little prick.
