Above is Isaiah's The World Today Just Nuts "Spring Break Columbia: War On Women Edition" from last night. I love it. And didn't he capture Clint Eastwood? When I saw it, my first thought was, "What's Clint Eastwood doing in the comic?" I usually study the picture before I read the captions. And I did keep my word and post "Kat's Korner: Bonnie's got another classic" about Bonnie Raitt's new album.
Did I really think this was the best Bonnie Raitt album ever?
I really did.
And I really love-love about five of them. So I'm putting Slipstream ahead of those. And that's because I think the album's surprising and amazing and one you'll still be listening to in ten and twenty years.
Andy Sniper (Music-News.com) thinks the album's pretty great too:
The closer is God Only Knows, just Raitt’s vocals and Patrick Warren’s piano and utterly beautiful.
I hate to think of this as a ‘comeback’ album as that would suggest that she had been making poor music at any time but this really is up there with some of her best work and if there is more to come I will only welcome it.
Closing with C.I.'s "Iraq snapshot:"
