What about Hurricane Sandy!!!!!
What about it?
It was over by then. The aftermath was still going on, yes.
This was actually a fundraiser, a charity event, that had been planned long in advance.
I don't see anything wrong with her doing this.
I live in California. Because of the White House's idiotic b.s., all summer long there was a chance that many people could lose their homes -- many more than did -- due to the wild fires that burned on and on and on.
Every day someone was losing a home.
That didn't bring life to a standstill in California.
I don't think Bette did something horrible or wrong or even out of touch.
It was a charity event and it was planned months ahead of time.
The charity? New York Restoration Project.
That's an important charity.
But even if she'd planned at the last minute to have a blow out with any friends who could come -- no fundraiser -- just to celebrate that the hurricane was over, I'd be fine with that too.
People get upset about the strangest things.
