Yesterday on Fresh Air, Terry Gross interviewed Paul McCartney. She called him "sir." I have no idea why but that's the sort of suck-ass thing Terry Gross is infamous for.
So Paul doesn't perform but he does review various things. For example, he tells Terry about liking to go from a major key to a minor one and he starts playing it on the keyboard and duh-duh-duhing along. He does that with regards to a song coming back, after the chorus to where it started.
That's the best part of the interview.
Other than that, you'll mainly wonder how he manages to sing. I kept waiting (I listened to the whole interview today -- only got 20 minutes yesterday) for him to say he had a cold. He never did. I don't know what was up with that. He really doesn't sound good.
It's an okay interview that would have been better if Terry had known when to shut up and listen. Several times, he's on the verge of sharing a story and it really could have been something if she had been able to shut up.
