At least today. Over the past two weeks the administration has kept changing its story every few days, jumping from announcing it to be a “complex attack” and an “act of terror” to later claiming it was just spontaneous, then going back and denouncing it again as terror and blaming al-Qaeda.
The shifts have Congress wondering what the truth actually is, and Sen. John Kerry (D – MA) is said to be pushing a letter signed by a number of Congressmen calling for the administration to provide them some actual details of the incident.
That's from Jason Ditz's "!5 Days In, US Still Can't Get Its Fact Straight" (Antiwar.com). C.I. was pressed for space and had to pull that and other pieces on that topic out of the snapshot tonight because it was just too big.
So is the administration lying or is the White House that stupid that they don't know?
Do you remember the dark chuckles at Bully Boy Bush's saying that when he saw the plane hit the first tower, he thought it was a bad pilot? We thought he was stupid for that. Because it was so obviously terrorism. (Equally true, he didn't see the first plane hit.)
And Bush was talking about what he had thought the morning of 9-11.
It's 15 days after the attack on the US Consulate in Libya and the White House still can't figure it out?
Talk about incompetence.
Barack's incompetent or he's lying.
And Americans need to be asking which it is.
This is disgusting.
